What is Google Business Profile management?
A Google Business Profile is the listing that appears in Google Maps and in the panel beside local search results. Management means keeping it correct and active: name, address, hours, categories, services, photos, posts and review replies, so that people who find you on Google can trust what they see.
For restaurants, this listing is often the first thing a new customer sees. For B2B firms, buyers check Maps and the website to confirm that the company is real.
What we do
We cover the full life of a profile.
- Set-up or clean-up. We claim, verify and tidy the profile, and remove duplicates.
- Categories and services. We choose the most specific primary category and a few secondary ones, then list every service you actually offer.
- Description and attributes. We write a clear description in plain words, with no keyword stuffing.
- Photos and video. We give you a shot list for logo, team, premises or installs, and product screens, and we upload new ones on a schedule.
- Posts. We prepare and publish regular posts for offers, launches and events.
- Reviews. We set up a routine to ask for reviews and to reply to every one, good or bad.
- Hours and holidays. We keep regular and holiday hours correct, because wrong hours cost visits.
- Reporting. We track calls, direction requests and views from Google’s own data.
Why does it matter for restaurants?
Google Maps is where many people choose where to eat. A profile with the wrong hours, a missing menu or unanswered complaints loses customers before they walk in.
| Problem | What it costs | What we do |
|---|---|---|
| Wrong or missing hours | Customers arrive at a closed door | Set hours and holiday hours, review them each month |
| Thin or duplicate listings | Reviews split, Google is unsure which is real | Merge or remove duplicates, keep one verified profile |
| Unanswered reviews | Visitors read the complaint and nothing else | Reply to every review with a calm, specific message |
| Old photos | Place looks closed or run down | Add new photos on a regular schedule |
| Menu not linked | People leave to find a menu elsewhere | Link the menu and ordering pages |
How do local pages on your website help?
Google reads your website to confirm what your profile says. A page for each real location, with the same name, address and phone number as the profile, gives Google and AI answer engines a second source that agrees. We write location pages that are useful to people first: what the outlet serves, how to reach it and what is special about it. We do not create doorway pages for cities where you have no presence.
Our own Indore restaurant technology page follows this approach.
How do reviews work, and what is allowed?
Reviews are the signal people trust most, and Google polices them. We follow the rules.
- Ask every customer, not only the happy ones. Review gating breaks Google’s policy.
- Do not pay for reviews or offer discounts for them.
- Reply to most reviews, within a day or two where possible, and keep replies short and specific.
- Take real complaints offline and offer a fix.
We give you a ready-to-send WhatsApp message and reply templates for common cases, so staff do not improvise under pressure.
Is a Business Profile available for every business?
No. Google lists businesses that meet customers face to face, at their own location or at the customer’s. A business that works only by phone or video is not eligible. Restrologic’s own situation is a good example: our registered office is a virtual office and our meetings are online, so our listing rests on the on-site installation and support work we do at client outlets, set up as a service-area business with the address hidden.
We check eligibility first, so you do not spend money on a profile that Google may suspend.
Who is this for?
- Restaurant, cafe and ice-cream brands with one or many outlets.
- Cloud kitchens and delivery brands that also serve in person.
- Local service firms that visit customers, such as installers and repair teams.
- Chains that need the same standard across outlets.
If you also want to see how the listing converts, our data and analytics service can bring Google data into the same dashboards as your sales. For the wider restaurant offer, see technology for restaurants.
How does an engagement run?
- Audit. We review the current profile, duplicates, categories, hours, photos and reviews, and the website pages that support them.
- Fix. We correct the facts and fill the gaps, in the profile first.
- Routine. We agree a weekly post, a monthly photo, and a review-request and reply process.
- Report. You get a short monthly note on calls, direction requests, views and review counts.
- Adjust. We change what the data shows is not working.
You keep ownership of your profile. We ask to be added as a manager, never as the owner, so you can remove us at any time.
Next step
Send us the name of your outlet or business, and we will check the listing. Contact Deepak and we will tell you what to fix first. You can also read more about Restrologic before you decide.
